1.
What's wrong: When I try to install TimeMate I get an error, that file
TimeMate-US.prc could not be copied?
This problem happens, when
you try to install TimeMate on a system where PalmDesktop version 4 or
above has been installed (maybe some earlier versions too). The reason
is that the setup program tries to copy some files into a add-on folder
under the palm desktop installation directory, as has been usual for
the earlier versions of the palm desktop. Unfortunately, the add-on
directory is no longer created by the palm desktop installation leading
to the error. To workaround the problem, create the add-on folder
manually and run the TimeMate setup program again.

2.
What's wrong: When I tap on the buttons in the TimeMate toolbars
nothing happens?
This incompatibility between
TimeMate and PalmOS 5.x devices has been fixed. To get the toolbars
work, install version 1.33 of TimeMate.

3.
What's wrong: After extracting the download archive and running the
installation, setup states that it could not find some files.
If the problem is not the
same as described in question 1, you have probably extracted the
download archive in flat mode, which means that all files have gone
into the same directory. Please ensure, that when you extract the
download archive, the internal folder structure will be kept intact.

4. I am replacing my old Palm and want to take-over TimeMate to my new
handheld. How can I do that?
Basically all you have to do
is to
install some files of the Backup directory of your old Palm user to the
new handheld. First run a HotSync and then look for the files below and
install them on the new handheld using the Palm Install Tool.
Core files:
TimeMate.prc
TMPluginMgr.prc
TMOverView.prc
TMQueryTool.prc
TMListEditor.prc
TimeMate_DB.pdb
TimeMateAux_DB.pdb
TMPluginData.pdb
Optional files (depending
if you are using this plugins or not):
TMExtraTimePlugin.prc
TMProjectControl.prc
TMQuickReportPlugin.prc
After that,
TimeMate should be running on your new handheld without any other
modification. Please remember, that you need the version 1.33 to run on
a device with PalmOS 5.x, which you can download from here.
